Sarah Douglas' 1st Birthday Party

Sarah Douglas had her 1st birthday party sat. Dec 12 at our house. She will not turn one until the 18th of Dec. but my brother is getting married that weekend so we decided to have it early. We had such a great time at her birthday party. Several friends and family came over to help us celebrate. We had a wonderful spread of food/drinks and Veronica's bakery provided the beautiful cake. We moved the coffee table out of the den and set up toys so the children could play. After about 45 min. of playtime, we sang happy birthday and ate cake and ice cream. Sarah Doulgas was so good the entire time. She played with her friends and then dug into her cake after singing happy birthday. The entire day was so very special and i want to thank everyone who came to help us celebrate. It meant so much to me and Clifton to have all of our family and friends there. Thank you to John, Chris and Courtney for driving several hours to celebrate Sd's birthday. We love you all!

SD is such a daddy's girl! It is so sweet to watch Clifton interact with SD. He loves her so much! I am usually feeding SD supper when Clifton gets home from work. The minute he opens the back door, SD starts smiling, flapping her arms and getting excited because she knows her daddy is home. It just melts my heart. This is a picture of SD and her daddy "watching" football. Don't you just love it!

Thanksgiving 2009

We had a great thanksgiving this year! The Lord has blessed me with the most wonderful family, friends and good health and i am so very thankful! We had a busy week but was able to spend alot of time with family and friends. Wed. night, we had Thanksgiving dinner at Clifton's parents house. Several family members were there including Sd's great-grandmother (GG)! She had so much fun playing with her GG and her cousin, Nora. Thurs. and Fri. night we relaxed and enjoyed family time. Clifton also did some hunting! Sat. night we had Thanksgiving dinner at my parents house. All of my brother's and sister, along with there spouses were there. My Uncle Richard and his 3 girls were also able to come. SD was the center of attention and LOVED being able to meet her cousins for the first time. Thanksgiving was so special this year because we were able to spend it with SD and our entire family! Here are a few pics from wed. night at the Thach house.

Buddy and Baby in a Box!

It is hard to believe that Sarah Douglas is 11 months old today! Time is going by way too fast! I am already preparing for her 1st birthday party and can't wait. Sarah Douglas is such a sweet little thing and she has brought soooo much joy into our lives. I seriously don't know what life was like without her! We love her so much!

These past few days SD has had a terrible cold. She has a runny nose, congestion and a low grade fever. I had to pick her up early from daycare yesterday, and today she stayed at home with my mother. I hope she gets well soon because i know she feels aweful! I feel so bad when i can't stay at home with her but i know she is in GREAT hands.

Sarah Douglas is doing so many things at this point in her life. She is cruising all over the house. I think she will be walking by the time she turns 1. She is also standing up all alone! When she looses her balance she just plops to the floor. Sarah Douglas will point and say "Bubbi"- she is refering to buddy, our dog. It is soooooo cute. She will also say mama, dada, uh-oh, hey and bye-bye. Not real sure if she is refering to me and her dad when she say's mama and dada but i like to think she is! She also loves to pretend she is talking on the phone. She will put everything up to ear and say "hey". Again, it is so cute!

Yesterday one of her christmas presents arrived in the mail. Clifton and I thought it would be fun to take the present out and let her play in the box. She LOVED playing in the box and will probally like the box better than the present itself. I have posted a few pics of SD and Buddy playing in the box. Hope you enjoy!

We had a WONDERFUL halloween this year! Sarah Douglas dressed up as a Flower Blossom and she was the cutest thing ever! She was so good and kept her costume on for over 2 hours! After we went trick or treating by a few friends houses, we went over to Lance and Landi's for the rest of the night. They cooked a huge pot of red beans and rice and several friends came over. Sarah Douglas played all night then finally crashed at 10:00pm. She was worn out! Here are a few pics from Sarah Douglas' first halloween!!!!!
